The Charleston CHR radio wars

Now 95SX is streaming I've had a chance to listen to both Charleston's CHR stations and it sounds like it could be a interesting battle.

95SX has heritage on it's side with an established breakfast show and a well balanced playlist plus killer imaging. But with Z93 Jamz in the cluster, they seem to hold back on some of the big hip-hop and R'n'B records, which could be it's downfall. But like all good established leaders they don't acknowledge B92 on air.

Meanwhile B92 have taken a page straight out of KIIS-FM's book. The playlist is rhythmic heavy with a few remixes which make the station stand out a little. The presentation is fast paced and and the digs at 95SX (Without actually mentioning 95SX) are quite amusing. But with no breakfast show (As far as I know) they might struggle getting people to lock into the station all day.

So over all, B92's playlist and CHR presentation might succeed in taking a chunk out of 95SX and it would be interesting to see how 95SX responds.<P ID="signature">______________
