Anybody get a chance to listen to 103.7 WSOC's new married afternoon team, Charlie & Debbie Johnson, the past two days? Any thoughts?

I happened to be in Charlotte yesterday, and I'm glad you brought this up. I was just going to ask what the deal was. My honest opinion? I didn't like it. It would have been great in the morning, and they seem to have talent. When I was stuck in traffic at 5:00 though, I wanted to hear plenty of music, not a lot of talk. I was frankly disappointed and turned to 96.9 instead. Just my opinion though.

Well DUH, they are a morning show now doing afternoons. They have done mornings for the past 12 years. Good people too..once you get them, it will all make sense....tell em you want to hear Nancy on the show!

I certainly have no doubt that they are good people. I think though, that even once I "get them", I still won't listen. It's just a matter of my personal opinion. I want to hear music during afternoon drive. On the occasions I'm actually in Charlotte, I always listened to WSOC in the afternoons. But since I won't be hearing the music I "need" to survive traffic, I have a feeling that I'll just listen to another station. I'm pretty certain, too, that I am not alone in this thought.

You are NOT alone Broker! If they were so succesful in the
morning slot why didn't they stay there? If it works for them
that's fine, but I simply don't see this kind of thing working
in THIS market when Matt & Ramona dominate with, um, what is
it called...oh yeah ENTERTAINMENT!
BTW star98 music... the word "duh" went out with "WAAAASSSSAAAAP!"
