The Charlie Kirk Show

I can hear “The Charlie Kirk Show” Monday-Friday from 12:06 until 1:00pm on AM1420 WHK. That means I miss the first hour, and arguably the most important hour, of “The Dennis Prager Show”, although it does run at 10:00pm. I believe that they are required by Salem Communications to carry Mr. Kirk’s talk-a-thon in that hour.

I don’t particularly like Charlie’s show. He never takes calls and seems to rarely refer to emails sent in, even though he asks for listener input. While his content is often good, he lectures-lectures-lectures and pontificates-pontificates-pontificates in a semi-monotone voice. He’s a one note talker, no time for even a little levity. He does, however, have interesting sound-clips. It is curious that given that he’s a younger guy, when he goes to the sound-clips, he says: “Play tape”. I’m sure the sound is not coming from a cassette or reel-to-reel tape.

He doesnt represent younger listeners.

I heard it, once. Nothing special. Just your typical conservative Trump-loving host.
Like most other nationally syndicated conservative hosts, not an independent thinker amongst them.
