From the CNBC Site:

"Radio Giant Faces Crisis in Cash Flow"

"It is too soon to say who will be the biggest loser among media companies in this recession. But Clear Channel Communications is vying for the title."

Burn, baby, burn.

Yeah, let em all totally crash. After all the dust settles the prices of stations will once again be in line with logic! Some of the prices of these stations in the last 10 years have been ridiculous

I have no sympathy for the corporate a-holes that have ruined the business I used to love. But remember the flip side of letting "them all crash"... lots of innocent folks and their kids depending on a paycheck.

Yeah, I'm sure that's how some slaves felt about slavery too. Let the corporate bast*rds die in the gutter. They created this situation so let them die with it. The dedicated people with families will make do and can come back a year from now when the Clear Channel, Entercom, Citadel and the other pigs are dead and it returns to the sanity of local ownership. And don't forget to kick the severed heads of the pigs in the gutter.

Amen to that Megacycler! I just hate to see the innocent suffer. But gotta make the money some kinda way. People who have been in the business for a long time know a lot! But the big wigs say the pioneers "don't know anything" and choose not to listen to or take advice from them. The ignorance is paying off for the big corps and not in good ways.

Let all the "Suits" stick out their chests for now, because in the long run I feel that they will all be the ones looking for lower paying jobs. And as for the "Programmers" who only play "Follow the leader," grow some balls and stand up to the "Suits." You are all paid to protect the best interests of stations, and if they attempt to "bully" you into the wrong decisions, do whats right!!! We need more people who truly love this industry to stand-up for once and say, "No, we aren't going to let you ruin OUR passion and OUR industry." All was fine back in the 80s and 90s, and then here came the greedy monsters. ENOUGH SAID!!

go ahead and "Stand Up To The Suits"! but remember they own the keys to the transmitter building, pay the electric bill and hold the FCC licence, along with your pink slip. "Our Industry"??? you have NO industry. its THEIR industry, but hopefully not much longer.
