I stopped listening to 107.9's "Top 7 at 7" weekday countdown show awhile back because it was useless to continue. That's because the host, "Latin Assassin", rarely gave out the title and artists, sometimes only doing it for the first song played. Well, I just happened to tune in a couple of days ago, and heard listeners giving the title and artist information, along with their own personal "shout-outs". This is (kind of) welcome news. I say "kind of" only because, on a many occasions, I couldn't understand what the callers were saying over the beginning of the songs. For example, on the playlist of "Cleveland's Blazin' Hip Hop and R&B" station there's a new song by Usher, yet I still don't know its name, or who is joining him on the record. Now, if The Latin Assassin would start giving the title and artist information at the end of each song as well during the countdown, before cranking up the next listener introduction, then I would be in Hip Hop Heaven.
