The Countdown is On!

At 6:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 1st, 2007, radio history will be made as
WMPM will leave 1270 AM and move to 1090, in the process, the call letters
"WTSB" will remain, for now(I think the WMPM call letters will wind up on
this frequency) One thing is for certain, this will become the most powerful
station in Johnston County with 9,000 watts, which should given them better
coverage, especially toward Raleigh and Goldsboro.
According to the "Smithfield Herald" the programs currently heard on WMPM
will remain on WTSB, the question is, what will happen to 1270 in the coming
months?, Some on another web site suggested going "News/Talk" or trying
a "All-Financial" format simular to WBBR 1130 in New York City.
Whatever takes place, the listeners will benefit from a better signal.

What is the purpose of having so many threads about this "station move." I would guess most people on here can't even hear this station. Certainly those of us in the Triad can't so why should we care?

Just asking.

I'm confused... the WTSB calls are going to which station? 1270? Or 1090?

Also, has anyone heard when WDUR 1490 will go espanol? Right now they're still "stunting," if you can call it that... ???

You've got to remember this is a "RALEIGH/GREENSBORO" board.

Then I would like to suggest that the Triangle/Triad thread be split. I don't live in the Triangle and I don't really care what goes on over there, like I am sure the Triangle people could care less what goes on over here.

I was wondering the same thing, you can barely get this station anywhere in the Raleigh area from what I've heard of it- I could care less what they do..

::) Me three! I don't care.. and I agree to split the Raleigh/GSO Boards BIG APE

Yeah. We want to discuss non-rated daytime AM stations on our own board!
I think 1240AM in Raleigh is sounding good! Discuss....

While we're all venting, let's get this straight right away:

"I could care less." = "I DO care some."

"I couldn't care less!" = "I Do NOT care at all!"

It works if you work it.
