The new station at 106.7 will launch on Thursday, December 13th at 12 noon! In the meantime they are streaming at www.tv1067.com.

Wouldn't it be funny if after all the money spent and hype if this TV theme's format WAS the new format!!! :D :D

It would be THE most creative station in Columbus.. maybe they can keep it around for HD-2 or web only?

My money is on a format NOBODY has mentioned on here.

They go with a Christian A/C format and I will camp out in the parking lot until I get an interview! Whatever it is, PLEASE let at least SOME of it originate here and not from a studio far, far away.

Either way, I'm jazzed about the new station coming to Columbus.

I'm guessing since it's called "television 106.7" that it'll probably be called "radio 106.7" when it's all said and done since that's one of the names registered. Cat is to Dog as Television is to Radio retards.

Radio 106.7 seems most likely...However, could Adult Hits be an option? I haven't seen it mentioned on the site yet. I know, TED-FM was an utter disaster, however, if done right, such as Fly 92.9 in Dayton, it could do well. TED-FM was a miserable failure because of poor music selection, execution, the absolute WORST signal in the market, etc.

Christian AC? There is already the following Christian AC stations:
WCDR 88.1
WUFM 88.7
WHKC 91.5
WJYD 106.3
104.9 The River

Why need a six?

Hmmmm. Let me see...... I'm going to guess Hip-Hop or an all Dance/Techno station. Columbus does have a very large gay community and we also only have one Hip-Hop station. Or maybe they will mix them both.

Columbus' Hottest Hip Hop & Dance. Serving all communties that just like to party! 106.7 FM The Heat! ;D

WCDR 88.1 is Cearderville College. It's kind of an everything station, not really A/C.
WUFM 88.7 is Radio U Christian but ROCK. Feels and sounds more like a religious Blitz.
WHKC 91.5 is an autopilot jukebox that oculdbe anything tomorrow. They have said it would be Chirstian talk since the beginning.
WJYD Joy 106.3 is black gospel music and nowhere near being A/C

The River, yes I'll agree it's a Christian A/C and I beilieve it deperately needs some competition for the good of the station and the market.

how about this
http://rumba1067.com/pages/underconstruction-spanish-rumba.html

or this

http://1067thebuzz.com/pages/underconstruction-thebuzz.html

and if you change the last part to /main.html on any of them you get the page template

http://1067thebuzz.com/main.html

good way to keep em guessing :)

What about The Buzz 106.7?? Since the new signal will cover areas that CD-101 FM can't, we may
see some kind of similar rock format on WRMN-FM. They may also want to go after 99.7 The Blitz.

In any case, it looks like some kind of ROCK format to me.

Just my two cents worth.

If you look at the page source of all of these URLs, you can see links to only www.radio1067.com so my money is on radio 106.7. It seems like the most likely since they are pushing tv1067.

I am about sick of TV theme songs though. For awhile there I was surprised about how bad the station sounded IN DUBLIN but it sounds like it's cleared up a bit. I thought it might have just been poor quality of TV theme recordings (which might also have been the case) which made me wonder why they would want to use that to test engineering/sound of the station. It sounds a lot better now.

I was out in the area of Avery Rd. and Shier Rings Rd. Wednesday and was surprised by the amount of fade back and forth between stereo and mono. Don't they have to pick a tower location based on being able to provide a good signal to its city of license?: Or is it just all theoretical and based on calculations?

Dublin and in fact all of Franklin County is in their service contour, so I don't know why it was doing that on your radio? I haven't had any problems with it going between stereo and mono on my car radio, even in downtown Columbus with all the RF down there.
