The COWARDLY LION, Dan Yorke!!

Day 3 went by with me an old fart listening to Yorke . Praying he would find some COURAGE. He did say he`d like to HANG the woman who runs the Republician Party Mrs. Morgan. She sent a lackluster e-mail. WoW!!!
MR. Yorke, Did Mrs. Morgan run into the studio ,take the mike, and take over your show? You *RANTED* that Mrs. Morgan should be fired and you would like to *HANG* her! What did you do about DEPETRO, NOTHING!!
How can ANYONE take you to be real. Depetro made a nasty comment about your wife with Laffey on WRKO 2 weeks ago. You must have heard about it by now?
I believe you live in FEAR of Depetro, WHY?
You PICK on a *Woman* and you RUN from DEPETRO!!
What does that say about you?????

Ok, I admit I did not hear the Dan and John incident live. That being said, has it occured to anyone that this was a planned stunt and that John could be taking over for the exiting Steve Kaas?

I have been in this business for 12 years and I can tell you that if someone decided to show up at a remote broadcast and take over the mic they wouldn't be on the air very long. Just the fact that he was on the air for more that 5 seconds proves to me that something is up!

I am not trying to start rumors here but to me this screams STUNT!

I thought of all this too but still wonder if WPRO would risk their relationship with Cardi's with a stunt like this, especially at a Hurricane Katrina benefit broadcast. Cardi's is a very public service oriented sponsor. I don't think a stunt would be staged without them knowing beforehand & I doubt they would OK it.

If it's a stunt leading to hiring DePetro then WPRO will have some explaining to do to their listeners. There will be bad press, which is sometimes just as good as good press, but not with WHJJ ready to launch live & local talk in more dayparts. Talk listeners are naturally going to sample what's going over on 920. If it wasn't a stunt then DePetro really needs to concentrate on his job at WRKO.

As far as Yorke not taking control of the mike more quickly I agree with you but I'm sure in the back of his mind he had to think quickly about the repercussions of his adding to the mayhem.

Not sticking up for anyone but just trying to cut through the obvious personal issues others have with both guys. You obviously don't but I think we can all see where other people here are coming from. I think they should take this to Judge Judy.

I believe the posters on this board are in some kind of 'shock'. The whole event, if you will.
We know there is 'bad blood' between Depetro and Yorke. Yorke has time and time again refered to Depetro and what he`d like to do to him. Yorke made it appear as if Depetro was in fear of him. Now the tables are turned. A 180 degree turn has taken place.
If you look at this 'thing' from begining to end, it does appear Yorke is in fact 'shaken' by Depetro confronting him.
Prehaps it was Yorke who was the 'Bully' all along and Depetro stood up to him. And Yorke backed off. Ran, if you will.
A coward dies 1000 deaths a hero only one.
I hope Dan Yorke can understand this .

You know, it WAS Yorke who strated bashing depetro in the first place so I would say he very well fits the bully role. Plus letting the F-word on the air and laughing over it. I wonder how much he'll end up paying for that one both by the fcc and wpro.

Nothing...i beleive the rule is if a caller lets the word out, the station is only responsible if its repeated enough times to allow the on air personality to control it....one word from a caller doesn't warrant a fine
