What a loss for the broadcasting world. I enjoyed his show for many years after discovering Stardust in the 90's. After Joe Lacina and Eddie were just recently canned to make way for thier new and Improved sound, to attract younger listners, this is a double wammy for its loyal fans. Eddie and Stardust represented something special in broadcasting and music that no longer exists in this world. Sunday evenings just are not the same any longer with out Eddie.

I too worked for a Stardust affiliate and interacted with Eddie on occasion - I found him to be a masterful broadcaster and a true gentleman. What I think he was able to provide was an ability to be a genuine person on-air, something that's amazingly difficult to do within the construct of a tight automated/satellite format. And that, in a twisted way, was evidence of just how good a broadcaster he was. It ain't about demographics folks, it's about relating to the audience, regardless of their age. Thank you, and rest in peace, Eddie.....
