I will admit to watching "Eyewitness News" first at Noon, 5, 6, and 11 when I'm home. "Channel 2 News" hasn't appealed to me since 1997. But as far as the newscast itself being crap...well, they're much, MUCH BETTER than the "Ten O'Clock News" on WNYW. BTW, John Bolaris is solid. I prefer him over Dave Price. I haven't seen Chris Wragge yet, but the way you describe him is giving me Bernie Smilovitz flashbacks.

You could have fooled me with the Gore-bashing. When and if Current becomes a propaganda vehicle for the Democratic party, or the unofficial home station of the "Gore in '08" campaign, then I'll take your comments seriously.

It's only been one day. Let's all give Current TV a chance to see what it's all about before we bash it.

Cable/satellite TV nowadays is all about dumbing down to the lowest common denominator. (See GSN, A&E, AMC, Bravo, and the MTV Networks, among others.) The one piece I saw today on Current was quite interesting. Like I said, let's give the channel an opportunity to show us what it's made of.

Bolaris is nuts and I take it you never saw his "Extended Treeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddddd."
However, is still more professional than Price.

He makes Bernie look like Warner Wolf.

Blipverts is a Max Headroom reference where they were these quick adverts that made viewers heads explode. This is how I view the content of Current and its pod people.
As for its slant it seems to be just random nonsense from various people, mostly who have no training in journalism. This will bite them in the ass eventually.

We know what its about, from their propaganda.

And I tend to watch hardly any of them.
As for Current it has already been done. Its something that is called "The Internet" - something Al should know about.
______________

It's also called Bite tv...oh yeah, and it's Canadian!, and it's been around long enough to suggest that Al Gore got the idea from there! (no fact intended)
here's the link: www.bitetv.ca/

That channel has the same idea of a bar going across the screen etc...
______________

WhatEVER. The point is still that CBC did not own NWI. Nitpicking doesn't change that point.
