The CW 2024-2025 Season Thread

In case you were confused, CW should have gotten Doctor Who instead of Disney+ around the time when CW cancelled so many shows and they put on "Cheap Content" instead. But i guess that Disney makes more money than Nexstar does so BBC decided to choose Disney+ instead

Disney is currently co-funding Doctor Who production with the BBC and they have distribution rights. Now here’s your dunce cap, wear it proudly.

No one has been talking about One Magnificent Morning in this thread. Guess they wanna keep rerunning Into The Wild as long as the block lasts

It's time for cartoons to return on Sat mornings and ditch the E/I and nature crap shows funny how those ads are targeted to an older demo and not a young demo as the young demo doesn't watch E/I & nature crap shows. Yeah, it's just to check a box is all kinda surprised the FCC hasn't tried to make the subchannels having to air the E/I & nature crap shows. Since the Dems control the FCC didn't Jessica want to keep E/I & nature crap shows on the subchannels when it was finally taken out when the GOP controlled the FCC in 2019?

I'm thinking not enough EPs for The Librarians The Next Chapter in my opinion why it got pulled for fall will be aired in midseason or late spring?

The Librarians The Next Chapter officially cancelled at the CW and moving to TNT
If you read past the headline, that's not an accurate read on what happened.

“The CW is incredibly proud to have worked alongside Dean Devlin and the entire team at Electric Entertainment to create an extraordinary continuation of The Librarians franchise,” Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW, said in a statement. “We are thrilled that the series’ original network TNT loves it as much as we do and saw great value bringing it to their audience. It’s a first for CW Studios and we cannot wait for fans to experience this incredible next chapter.”
TNT made an offer to license the show that CW couldn't refuse. That's an off-net sale for the nascent CW Studios, which apparently is a thing now.
