Yes I know everyone is ready to see the new CW and My Network both to launch September 5th 2006 but the CW move thier launch date to monday september 18 2006. I wonder what will the stations will do around late summer though september 18th when the wb and upn shut down late summer.
Hi everyone:My bet is that they won't shut down. Sure they'll lose the affiliates who will be carrying MY on a primary basis, but it's not like there will be a whole lot on anyway besides reruns.Just my opinion Cheers
I have not seen anything about a change in date. It would be widely reported if so.Affiliates (especially those with small budgets) would panic if they had to fill primetime for two weeks waiting for the CW launch, especially if they did not have rights to movies to fill in the time.
The CW never announced a launch date -- you're confusing it with My Network TV, which did announce Sept. 5 (and is still sticking with it). From what I understand, WB and UPN will remain on the air until Sept. 17.
