The David Lee Roth Era...

Kudos to WNCX for making such a big effort in promoting the DLR Era with...(drumroll)...... the exact same sweeps and sounders they used for 13 years with the Stern show. It's almost as of they cut the word stern out in Pro tools and inserted David Lee Roth. Not that it matters. The 2 hour interview with his incoherent uncle was enough of a message that this era won't last 6 months.

And over on 92.3……Rover Loves Cleveland! But we’ll see if Cleveland Loves dialing a Chicago phone number and sitting on hold for 40 minutes.

I listened to DLR's entire show today from 6am-10. It was some of the worst radio I have ever heard. You would think they would have done some prep for their first show. A 2 hour interview with Dave's uncle? I didn't laugh once during the four hour train wreck. Every time Dave would try to say something funny, his board op would bring up a loud music bed. Wow! I have heard college radio sound more professional.

WNCX's imaging and presentation of the show was horrible. How long have they known DLR was taking over for Stern? All they did was put together one very generic half-assed intro and outtro? WNCX did a piss poor job with this piss poor show. The overall presentation was beyond pathetic.

The WNCX board op, Dave Jockers, missed several cues into commercial breaks and we got to hear the beginning of the breaks on WXRK. After about 30 seconds Jockers would cut off the WXRK feed and launch the local break. It was a train wreck. Extremely weak. Jockers was late into breaks regularly the entire time Stern was on the air. One would think that after running a board for 15 years he would learn how to do it right. One would also think that WNCX management would listen and do something about the frequent mistakes.

Why does WNCX allow their morning shows to be run so poorly? WNCX management should be fired for allowing such second rate imaging and production of this new show. Jockers and WNCX did a lousy job on DLR's first day, when they should have been on the ball. Was Bill Louis asleep at the wheel for the last several months? Was he listening today?

Bill Louis is going to take a big hit in numbers now that Stern is gone. It will be interesting to see how badly Bill does now that he cannot leech numbers from Howard.

The best part of DLR's first day? When DLR talked about the depth and variety of Satellite radio for like five minutes! He took a call from someone who hosts a show on Sirius and talked about how great it is! Even he is doing commercials for uh uh uh!!

I give this show six months tops. What a joke.

Bull Louis, as PD you should be ashamed at the way your new morning show was run today.

Ummm....First-time poster, have a seat.

1- This isn't WNCX's morning show. It's syndicated.

2- Unless you know for a fact, I wouldn't be so quick to take your shots at the person running the show at WNCX. It could very well be there is some shmuck not knowing what the hell they're doing at the flagship, hence, screwing every other station (including WNCX).

3- Since it's not WNCX's show, Bill Louis has no control over the sound of it. If it sounded as bad as you claim, then he probably won't be the other PD calling and asking "WTF??!!"

4- WNCX won't be the only station affected.

5- Do you really think any PD who has to run DLR is actually proud of it? I wouldn't be surprised if there are betting pools going how quickly he'll tank.

IS the all knowing dick head going to "show me the ropes?" Go away loser. You don't know what you're talking about.

It is the morning show of WNCX and every other station that it is on. Pass the buck.

Board op mistakes were made almost every day during Howard for 13 years. Yeah, I bet it was the DLR crew back then making mistakes also? Please Are you friends with someone at WNCX or do you work there? That seems to be the only way someone would make such assinine statements.

Bill Louis has control over the imaging and presentation of the show, which totally sucked.

With the awful board opping WNCX is the only one affected.

The rest of the station sounds just as bad. I guess Bill Louis is not in charge of that also? The fact that Paula Bailish sounds like she would rather be doing anything other than a radio show. the fact that Michael Stanley sounds the same, etc.

For a first time poster I seem to know more than you. Next time dick head, do some research before you make a fool out of yourself.

I agree; This was one of the worst shows I've ever heard. I don't even give it 6 months.
And if this is what 1/2 of the Stern stations sound like I wonder what the other half sounds like(?) on the West Coast...
