"The day the music died"

Does anybody know of plans to mark the 50th
anniversary of the plane crash that killed Buddy
Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper (J.P.
Richardson)? The event took place in the wee
hours of Feb. 3, 1959, so I'm wondering if any
cable channel plans to show "The Buddy Holly
Story" or "La Bamba," or if there are any
documentaries scheduled for either Monday,
Feb. 2 or Tuesday, Feb. 3.

For those who have access to ABC Radio Networks' True Oldies Channel, Scott Shannon plans on playing sporadically thruout the weekend (January 30th-February 2nd) the hits of Buddy, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens....
