The biggest financial news happening ever is currently going on. The US financial markets are on the brink of collapse that would lead to global economic depression. This news story is bigger than hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike COMBINED! This news event is could even dwarf 9-11 if collapse occurs.
So I hopped in the car this morning at 7:30 tuned into 1110 BizRadio and what was there? A repeat of an old Dan Frishberg show. WHAT!!!!! MORNING DRIVE!!!!!! A REPEAT OF AN OLD SHOW!!!!!!! It must be true that Elisia Frishberg is the new GM.
If there were anyone at that station that had a competent brain cell they would have had Frishberg, Mike Norman and all the other BizRadio hosts on a live panel to discuss and take phone calls (if anyone were listening). After 9-11 every radio and TV outlet went 7-10 days with this format. Look at Houston radio and TV today in the wake of the hurricane. It's not 24-7, but it's winding down from that.
Ever since Frishberg dismissed Brent Clanton, their most recent CEO and the key personnel that kept that station afloat, it is obvious that BizRadio is going down. If I were an investor I'd be at the DA's office complaining that I had been scammed by Frishberg and his fellow crooks.
