Maybe we should have a National day of mourning.

Naw...everybody but Ray Taliaferro and Gene Burns are still on Bay Area radio, either still on KGO or on KKSF 910, or in the case of Jim Gabbert, filling in on both.

But sir!, sir?
Ray Taliaferro is the apotheosis of talk show hosts. It is a day of mourning. Worst day in the history of radio.

Interesting, today December 5, is "REPEAL DAY" when the 18th amendment was repealed in 1933 ending prohibition. Guess you need a good stiff drink to listen to KGO nowdays and you can not do that while driving.

Is the new guy ready to slash and burn what's been left of the former KGO? Changes coming again? What's going on in the executive offices this week? Hang on for the wild ride again! Or is it business as usual?

If Cumulus can make KGO profitable with a 1 rating, more power to them! Never again will KGO successfully compete with KCBS or KQED. RIP, KGO! :)
