The death of Remix

Please people, get over it. Sirius is a business. It has a limited number of channels (known as bandwidth). It was incredibly expensive to start up.

Sirius dropping Remix isn't some anti-dance bias. I'm nearly positive Sirius can measure who/what is listening and when. Dropping Remix was likely based on the reasoning that there just wasn't that many people listening and using the channel to market other programming made more sense.

You guys really need to get over yourself. Only a tiny tiny TINY number of people care about a 24 hour a day remix station. This is specially true in the United States.

So before you go off on your tangents about how Sirius hates dance, and how "everyone" is so pissed off, sit down and grab a little business acumen. And recognize the reality is...the world doesn't revolve around your style of music.

Good on Sirius. A stable Sirius means more music and better radio for all of us. There are still ample dance channels on the network.

You still don't get it.

I understand Sirus is a business. I understand Sirius had to drop channels to make room for others.

I even understand Sirius had to eliminate a dance channel. But why Remix, and not Boombox or Chill? That part makes no sense, unless your Liquid Todd.

Because Sirius already has 2 other standard 4/4 Beat... Dance Stations

Did Richard Simmons listen to Remix? I don't think so. Coincidence? No.

Because the programmer, Marcus of Area 63/Remix/The Beat isn't associated with Boombox/Chill. The person running Boombox/Chill, (Liquid Todd/Steve Blatter) were crying about loosing one of their "So-called" Dance channels for the Real Pure Dance ones.

As a DJ on Sirius 62 since it was called the Rave I must tell you this is a big loss to the Sirius dance lineup and is the station that really put Sirius on top of XM in the dance category. This was a Corporate decision and I assure you that the PD of Remix had no say in the matter and actually found out about the removal of the channel after the public. Whatever reasons behind the move is unknown to any but Remix will be missed but stay tuned you won't be 100% disappointed with Sirius.
