The Debate: WRKO, WBZ, 96.9, 90.9

After the debate Howie had Kerry on; 96.9 (was it Michael?) talked about the debate. BZ talked about something else and 90.9 talked about...oil.

TV - how about Jeapordy? R.D. Sahl and Chronicle - NOTHING about the Governor's race.

Kerry Healy doesn't sound good. She doesn't have Mitt Romney's 50,000.00 smile. The photos in the
Herald and Globe were not flattering of her. So she needed a grand slam tonight. She didn't get it.

It's Deval's gig right now.

But it is rather shocking the lack of follow-up except for RKO and 96.9. Apathy on Boston radio?

WRKO carried the debate live because of Howie's connection to the Herald, which along with Ch. 25 sponsored this thing. Howie even broadcast his show today, if I'm not mistaken, from WFXT's Dedham studios.

That's why WBZ didn't air it live. Paul sullivan talked about it during his show, however.

I'd like all radio stations to be able to carry the debates, regardless of the sponsor. Give the sponsor a plug, but air the thing anyways.

What gets me about these "debates" hereabouts is the fact that Massachusetts is a STATE (ok Commonewealth),yet they tend to focus on Greater Boston only. I'm not aware that Springfield-area radio and TV stations are even invited to carry them...and Pittsfield? Fuhgeddaboutit.

>>Paul sullivan talked about it during his show

Sully even brought up the name of Howie's former prod., now with FOX25: "Maybe they could have had
someone like VB moderate the debate...have our own local people moderate it instead of a national
name like Chris Wallace" (a national name suddenly BIG in the news due to the Clinton interview!)

Will Gov. Patrick give a nice, plush job to Christy M. for splitting the vote and getting him elected?
Unbought and unbossed my tuchus.

Governess Kerry Healy

Let's face it Kerry Healy came off like an old bitty.
She acted like her girdle was too tight ;)

Kerry Healy's body language killed any chance she might have had to become governerness.

Well, as to governess, Kerry Healy lives up in polopony country and I am sure she could find a real fulltime job as one when she leaves office in January. ;D

"I'm your moderator, Virgin Boy..." somehow, that lacks gravity :D

What do you expect? The mayor of Boston said NEWTON was the western part of the state. ;D

speaking of western part of the state, a caller to DePetro this morning said listeners and viewers out there couldn't pick the debate up (if they were out of range of WRKO and WTKK and Ch 25 not on their cable...)

really is time for Doug Goudie to start using his real name, I agree. But he also could do what he's done on
radio, and intro him as "Victor Bravo" but we know what "VB" originally stood for in Howie's nickname of him.
