the decline of right wing talk radio

from Bill Clinton's sexual history in the White House to 9/11/01 to the war in Iraq right wing talk radio attained wide spread recognition. audiences grew and it seemed that the entire nation was drifting to the right.But it all began to change with the war in Iraq. However, I suspect that now right wing talk radio is headed downwards with respect to ratings.

Guys like Yorke and Depetro will one day be off the air. I am sure of it. The war in Iraq does not go so well, the cost of energy is threathning to bring down the ecomomy and the bail out of the gulf coast ( using borrowed money) will likely bring us rising long term interest rates and widespread inflation.
The nation is left wondering if we are ready for the next threat. The next threat could come from the flu ( bird flu ), another huge hurricane, an earth quake, or another terroist attack.

Depetro, Yorke, little guys like Matt Allen, big guys like Hannity or Limbaugh have aligned themselves with the Republican Party. I believe that as the Republicans are voted out of office the ratings of the above named hosts will since.

Sounds like you fear everything!!! Bush is going to spend 200 BILLION dollars on people who HATE him , thanks to Media and Dems spin, and you think he is Conservative??? He spends more than Clinton!
If say Hillary gets in, Guys like Rush and Savage will see the highest ratings ever! I see you didn`t say anything about the Mayor of New Orleans or the Govenor- Blanko ? Why? Bottom line- "Right Wing' talk radio will do fine , because the rest of the 'MEDIA' presents the 'NEWS' just like YOU....

> Actually, i think that the mayor of New Orleans let his people down. By his people I do not mean African American, I mean the residents of New Orleans.
He let them down big time. And Blanco did too. They bought should be voted out of office or if the people so choose and the state consitution allows they should be recalled. Don't get me wrong about me being a left winger. I am not.
I am a chaffee republican , McCain independent, moderate Democrat. The fear of electing a Democratic congress or president is that the Dems will cave in to the left wing and leave this nation vulnerbale to attack and constrained by outrageous enviornmental regulation. The fear of giving power to the Republicans is that they will cave in to the Rich, to the Religious right, to the mentality of consume and grow without limitation. And finally to go to war!
That has been most shocking of all. how the Republicans with their supporters on talk radio have been so into the idea of going to war.

Yorke, DePetro, Hannity, Limbaugh, and the rest of them small and big have all called for war. War in Iraq! War in Syria! War in Iran! Do these men and women offer anything up of their own? Their selves? are they teaching their children of the virtues of war? I doubt it. In my opinion these are men and women who are just carpet bagging on the signs of the times. and from Bill Clinton getting BJ's in the White House to 9/11, to the start of the Iraq war the signs of the times were that the Dems were bad and that Republicans needed to be in control. I think Americans are waking up that perhaps they were wrong to give so much control to this party. And i think Americans are waking up to the idea that these right wing talk show host are wrong! and will change the channel. not to Air America ( awful) but to something not so one sided!
