The Dells

Is the station WNNO acknowledge the tourist district... or just casually mention it - and have a more day to day routine.

I'm asking as I always thought a radio station serving a theme park would be so rad; similar to what cedar point used to do... giving traffic reports for the park.

I would take it one step further and give hourly weight times, traffic, weather, etc.

Maybe we've just been lucky, but I've never been stuck in traffic or had long wait times in the Dells, and we're up there a few times each summer.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but judging by my kids' reaction when I switch from Bluetooth to the radio (I actually do listen to WNNO when I'm in the Dells -- but I'm also a radio fan),I imagine most people road-tripping to the Dells are listening to something on their phone via Bluetooth. I don't recall any billboards for Mix 106, so visitors from out of town are only going to find them by spinning the dial.

When I listened to Mix 106 last week, I heard plenty of ads for local businesses, which is good. Seems like they're doing a good job at being the hit music station there in the Dells and finding support from local business.
