THE DIZ'S MIXES ON SOUL 1063

FINALLY! A real mix show on the air. Friday Nights are great again- New House, Classics Disco, 80s-90s Hip hop.
Soul 1063 gets it. A Dance mixshow thats not flooded with trance and techno......For some reason Urban stations feel they cant play dance mixes....

Hats off to The Diz and Soul 1063.......

mike diz tru dj that keep chitown music going too bad gci didnt keep him mike love as a team i miss the bad boys brodacast

Too bad the majority of Chicagoland cannot hear it because of the bad signal. Soul 106.3 is a joke and a half. Why doesn't crawford just sell the frequency to someone who actually wants to take the format seriously??? Not every potential listener to the station lives on the South Side of Chicago.

You can't even hear it on the north side.

I know right? It's hard to pick it up ANYWHERE. If you have a portable regular radio Walkman that you clip on, you have to tilt it to get the right signal, lol. Maybe a CCRANE radio may resolve that matter (cuz I hear that they are great! Coast to Coast AM is always promoting them).

Yeah but if you're driving in your car and you're not on the south end of town the reception is pretty bad.

Did they just start this Friday? What time is it on? This sounds very interesting, I want to check it out, it sounds like
it will be a pretty good mix show.

Not sure what i was hearing on 106.3 when i went to Milwaukee this weekend. Around Great America, another station faded in. But it couldn't have been from WI becaues of 106.1. Don't think it was 106.3 from South Bend IN because it wasnt a RnB signal. What other 106.3 stations are in that area that could have caused skip? I never realized how much of a hole there is in that area. That sux! I wish Crawford could buy WXLC but I think Next Media knows that and wouldnt sell.

Crawford Broadcasting's ownership of both Soul 106.3 and Power 92.3 has been nothing short of interesting really, given the company's 'stand'. Salem might need to start an Opie & Anthony-helmed rock station to sort of balance the world out. :D

But a sizeable number already does.

Probably at least half the listenership does live on the southside or near it in Indiana. There is also a signal in Rockford, there aren't any other urban stations in Rockford. Soul 106.3 also has a nice stereo internet stream so it can be listened to just about anywhere.

Word! - if the 106.3 you heard was an AC or Hot AC-sounding station, it might have been WKLA from Ludington, MI. I was in Manistee (north of Ludington) last summer and a lot of Milwaukee FMs were coming in like locals, even some of the weaker ones like 105.3 and 88.9.
