The Dog @ 97.3

The Wolf just doesn't seem appropriate. They are about to get beat by an out of market country signal, and The Rebel is within striking distance. Half of The Star listeners are gone, but B's not up from a year ago. Can you be an effective flanker if no one is listening? Maybe playing The Dixie Chicks every hour isn't such a good idea. ;)

It's nice to see The Sound doing well. #2 men 18-34 I haven't liked a station this much in years.

Just in case you missed it, there's a pretty lively discussion about The Big Juan's billboards over on the Kiesewetter blog. He also has some demo numbers.

Mix 94.1 has really dropped in this book. Whoopi is not a big draw for them in mornings and the station is a bore fest. It would be nice if CC made some changes there but it must bill well for them.

Did you notice they mentied WGRR playing 90's music? I have never heard any 90's music on wgrr I have only heard 60's, 70's, and 80's.

I haven't heard any 90's tunes either when I've heard them. They are playing john Mellencamp Pink Houses a lot which makes them sound more like 92.5 The Fox. I wonder if WOFX will go into harder classic rock soon.. WEBN could drop the AC/DC tunes making them more modern alternative rock like 94.9

Whoa, slow that dog sled down. It's a Country format on a former Alternative dial position. Not an easy transition. Give it a moment. This is it's first book. Ken and Kitty are not a Country show but better served on Hot AC or top 40. The new show seems like it will ulimately be a better Country fit. With the signal this station has it won't do what 96.5 did but give them a break. It's too early to take it to the pound.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....has "onegreatplace" ever not been a snarky little bastage about a station before??

Innnnnnteresting.
