The Doghouse with JV and Elvis return from LA

For those who are interested, Elvis and JV are back on the air, or Internet. They are doing shows on the web for the time being. Their first day was today. They'll probably get into their firings sometime in the near future.

As many insiders in the radio business I know would agree, the Dog House (JV and Elvis) have unfortunetly become two of the largest laughing stocks of our trade. Frustrated 40 something men who still think they're 22 years old and relevant. Know when to hang it up boys. You no longer bring anything of worth to the table.
I'm sure there are a couple of other industries in cooperate America that you can pursue and make meaningful wages and contributions.
Don't be like a washed up old boxer thinking you have one more fight left in you.
I heard you on many of my visits to NYC and knew you were on your last leg. Your Jackass style of radio has long since been forgotten and you don't have the ability or brainpower to evolve into anything else.
Just trying to tell you as it is from an insiders point of view. Sorry if I'm too blunt.

They have never been on in the L.A. market.

Do you want to post this same exact post that you did in NY, SF, and LA on the Chi board too. They have never been on in that market either.

Funny!
JV and Elvis are the two biggest, washed up losers in our industry right now. Oh wait they're not even in the industry.
Actually, I've reached the point now where I feel bad for them, so I wont write anymore. :)

The Dog House was syndicated in Southern California (Inland Empire).

Key word: "was"
Nothin is more sad than two fossils not being able to realize that the dream is over. Hey, JV and Elvis...you're old! Start finding something else to do with your pathetic existance. We've reached the point that if we laugh any more at y'all we're really gonna hurt ourselves.
And stop callin our college readio station and find somethin productive to do with y'all lives. We're entitled to our opinion and take on you...in less you feel you can try and take it away from us.

These guys are exactly what radio needs. Wouldn't be so quick to talk down on the highest rated morning show in San Francisco Bay Area history, and guys that just recently reached very respectable numbers on the joke that was "FREE FM" in NY. Listen to their show online to hear some great radio! KEEP IT UP! DOGHOUSE! WHAT!

Joe Grande is a former Dog House member. He was Big Joe on The Dog House. Isn't that an LA connection...

wait pal my point will be when u reply ....WHO DO YOU LISTEN TO? u can say anyone is out of touch wanna be young hacks... cause when u reply which u probably wont say who u listen to cause u know we will rip on u for listening to them, we will make fun of your fav show... i dotn know who you listen to but they are wannabe cool kid hacks... punk

All you have done is cite a bunch of shows or hosts that for one reason or another are by the tone of your post not relevant or perhaps never were. My point is that all of these like them or hate them have shows on the air, I don't and because I don't know you I would be making an assumption to say you don't either.

I would still listen to Howard Stern but for the fact that I'm too frugal to subscribe to Sirius. I do listen to Handel on KFI because he is somewhat entertaining and alway informative. Because of the concerns following "Nipplegate" Handel's show is a shadow of what once was and Stern is on subscription satellite. The bottom line is that until the regulatory pendulum swings back you will not see anyone approaching Howard Stern or Bubba or any of the others you cited. That and the homogenization of radio through consolidation and satellite programming with automated local inserts is destroying originality.

Now my question to you, what do you want to see (or more correctly to hear)? I know what I want and I do not expect it anytime soon for reasons I mentioned above.

dude u listen to a news show...and occasionally u get legal advice....WOW riveting ...i can put on 1010 if i wanna hear news u, hell you give them 22 minutes they give you the world....bro how can u rag on jv and elvis when u dont listen to a show like they put on? u listen to a show i could do or and idiot can do...read news say my opinion and take 6 calls then hit the commercial break WOOOOOOOOOOO.... if u said u still listen to stern or opie and anthony then maybe ur points would be taken "sirius"....but ur va genre is completely different then the genre jv and elvis attract

You are confusing your Handel shows. The morning show from 5 to 9 is a sort of free form discuss and ridicule anything in the first hour, all news but with a comedic twist from 6 to 7 and again at 8:30 to 9. The rest is info and interviews on current events. The legal advice show is his syndicated show on Saturday Morning. We don't get over the air any of the other shows you mention, however I did listen to Stern before on KLSX. I do not care for O&A. I know nothing about JV and Elvis because they are not on here and I doubt that they contribute anything that all of the others in or close to their genre have done or ever will do. A serious reason is that the regulatory climate makes station owners shake in their boots if anyone on their station(s) tried it.

I have been around long enough to have heard most of what morning shows and afternoon drive shows have done, from Smilin' Bob Yontz, The Imperial Debubbah and Rich King in Ohio through Frazer Smith, Sweet Dick Whittington and Freddie Snakeskin in California. Some like Stern were ground breaking, others were copy cats able to get by with it because no one paid attention outside the local market. They've done wacky news with and without music, wacky talk and just plain insanity in all possible combinations.

If JV and Elvis are your cup of tea then more power to you and I hope you enjoy their efforts. I feel that if there is a demand for them that they should be able to broadcast, stream, go on satellite or just yell out the window of a tall building if they want. I for one would not be offended and do not see why the FCC or any other body should shut them out. If I don't like them and you don't like Handel then that is why they put tuning devices on radios as well as the off switch.

By the way 1070 and 980 while they do "all news" often miss stories that to me are important and that are on KFI news.
