The Donny Osmond Show...thoughts?

He's been on in the Jackson market since last spring or summer. I think it's a rip-off of John Tesh and I don't really find the show that interesting. How well is the show doing nationally?

The show has no major-market affiliates. I see New York City, Salt Lake City and Louisville being the only top 50 markets with the show on a viable signal. Only one of those three cities has a full market signal carrying Donny, and that is a Citadel O&O in SLC.

Sounds like a flop to me.

I agree with both of you. It's ok. It could be better. I'd rather listen to John Tesh than his show. It's ok. I listen to the Detroit affilate (WGRT 102.3) WGRT.COM From what their site looks like, it looks like they are an affilate of (Citadel Media Networks) (Todays Hits, Yesterdays Favorites) 24/7 Format. The rest of that format sounds great. Some of the older stuff they play, we don't even hear on our local AC station here in Boston (Magic 106.7).
Thank you for this post @Golden Boy

My take-away from this thread is that perhaps Citadel Media (formerly ABC Radio) is having some problems launching new shows. The Donny Show is only one example. Last year, they started a daily syndicated country show called The Jeremy Show, and apparently that show is having trouble getting or keeping affiliates. Imus is struggling in some markets, and was dropped from WTKK in Boston. Is this just Citadel, or are we seeing some kind of trend by stations against national syndication?

The show has been running forever, but quite a few stations have been dropping Delilah. Vegas, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Orlando from the top of my head.

@Big A, I think it's the stations. I think they much rather have either local hosts, or those automative pre-recorded hosts.

@The Golden Boy, sorry my mistake, that's what their website posted, it posted "Detroit". When you look on their website where to listen, that's what they have listed.

@BigA ane everyone else, I like some of Citadel Media Networks (24/7 Formats) You can hear the AC one "Todays Hits and Yesterdays Favorites" on WGRT. It looks like WGRT have them on 24/7. They sound ok.
As well as their HOT AC network "Todays Best Hits" They are on 93.5 BTQ. It looks like they are on there almost 24/7 except their weekday morning show. They sound great.
I also like "The Touch" format. They are on almost 24/7 on (The Touch 95.3) fron Harrisburg, Pa. It lloks like they are on there almost 24/7 except for weekday mornings which airs "Tom Joyner Morning Show" Other than that, it looks like "The Touch" is on there almost 24/7 You can listen to all these affilates live online. See for yourself and let us know what you all think of the AC, HOT AC, and Urban AC formats of Citadel Media Networks. Let us know what you all think here??

The show has been picked up here in Vegas by KKLZ-FM on Saturday mornings 6-10am to mesh with their "greatest hits" format of 60's-70's-80's Top 40.
