He's been on in the Jackson market since last spring or summer. I think it's a rip-off of John Tesh and I don't really find the show that interesting. How well is the show doing nationally?
The show has been running forever, but quite a few stations have been dropping Delilah. Vegas, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Orlando from the top of my head.TheBigA said:My take-away from this thread is that perhaps Citadel Media (formerly ABC Radio) is having some problems launching new shows. The Donny Show is only one example. Last year, they started a daily syndicated country show called The Jeremy Show, and apparently that show is having trouble getting or keeping affiliates. Imus is struggling in some markets, and was dropped from WTKK in Boston. Is this just Citadel, or are we seeing some kind of trend by stations against national syndication?
The show has been picked up here in Vegas by KKLZ-FM on Saturday mornings 6-10am to mesh with their "greatest hits" format of 60's-70's-80's Top 40.PTBoardOp94 said:The show has no major-market affiliates. I see New York City, Salt Lake City and Louisville being the only top 50 markets with the show on a viable signal. Only one of those three cities has a full market signal carrying Donny, and that is a Citadel O&O in SLC.
Sounds like a flop to me.
