'The Dr. Oz Show' to replace 'Oprah' on KABC in 2011

KABC has picked up Dr. Oz, outbidding KTTV for the rights to the show. The show will air in Oprah's current 3pm timeslot beginning in September 2011.

The reason the move became possible is because Sony Pictures Television is selling the next cycle of the show on a market-by-market basis as opposed to station group-by-station group, like the initial sales were.

In addition, the show has been renewed on three other Fox O&Os (WNYW New York, WFLD Chicago and WTXF Philadelphia, who outbid it's current Philly home, CBS O&O KYW, for the rights).

If the other ABC O&O like KGO and WABC does not get Dr. Oz then What will their air on their stations in San Francisco KTVU and KICU has Dr. Oz. For places like San Fran they could extend "The View From the Bay for 2 hours"
