The Duck 93.9

Ok, I was passing through Tullahoma on Friday and found this new station WDUC "The Duck" (93.9). Their legal id is based in Lynchburg, Shelbyville, Tullahoma with their studios in Tullahoma. They played much the same music that 92.9 does with mostly automation. They did have local DJ for a few hours during the afternoon.

Around 5 o'clock, they started doing a sports show from the local high school. It sounded like there were ZERO people involved who had any idea what was going on and what was going over the air. If I was the station owner, I would be embarrassed. The people doing the show sounded like they were in a hole and when they interviewed someone, it was like you could not hear them at all. The person at the station tried to get their attention by speaking to them over the air, but to no avail. It continued for quite a while before anyone at the remote had a clue.

The sound and mix of the music is pretty good. The signal is good, but the local programming lacks a lot.

Anyone have any information on The Duck? Quack Quack. lol

Repost this on the Tennessee statewide board. This is too far from Nashville. 93.9 locally is one of the frequencies for translators of the Bott Network. Gallatin, I believe. (It's also between the FISH frequencies here.)

And note: 910-The Duck has been on in Columbia for about two years, now.........Sports/Talk.......

Yeah, I'll have to admit to being confused when I first heard about the Duck 93.9, wondering if you'd gotten an FM for your Fox Sports station, then finding out it was something different altogether.

At least my dubbing of "The Duck" is liked.. I left my LMA and still have a small project yet to pop up in town.. Shelbyville is out of the small 15 to 20 mile range of the AM Duck... The people I worked with are gone and a new leasor to buy is in place..
