The Eagle is soaring...

(Sorry for taking a break from discussing obscure AM stations with 17 listeners....)

KEGL is sounding good, and the numbers are starting to reflect that fact. Less dinosaur rock, more in the way of heavy new rock. Imaging has come to life and sounds outstanding. Even Sixx Sense doesn't sound bad these days; CC seems to be putting more effort into that program. (BTW, Kerri Kasem quitting was the best thing to ever happen to that program; her successor is a far better broadcaster.)

In ages 6+, they finished in 7th place. The Edge was only a tenth of a share behind in 8th. Pretty surprising to see The Eagle defeat the likes of KVIL and KKDA.

I used to think that The Eagle wouldn't have potential when it was relaunched in 2007. These days, they are reimaging and sounding "up-to-date" rather than the same boring songs they used to play ten years ago. Glad to see it doing some success now.

Now only if The Edge would flip to "Alt" like KYSR/LA and focus on indie rock rather than overplaying RHCP and Lorde garbage, and change that stupid logo that reminds me of how much they've been down the drain since their 2000 flip, then I will be happy.
