THE EGGMAN HAS LANDED!

According to published reports, Greg Moore, whom you knew as "Eggman" on the old "Magic" morning show, moves to Memphis, Tenn., as national news editor and anchor for the Information Radio Network, which serves more than 500 stations. Closest affiliate to Charlotte is WKJV-AM (1380) in Asheville

Greg doing news???? That's a switch! He is without a doubt one of the all time funniest guys I ever knew- kept the folks over at Magic in stitches most every day. Seriously, he's one really talented guy. I wish him all the best.

Also affiliates WLOE-Eden and WMYN-Mayodan up my way.

Later....
Matt Smith

While it's true that being funny is and will probably always be my first love, I also have a longstanding interest in news. Years ago, when I got to sit in on the Channel 6 TV news in Charlotte it was a complete blast.

Being on the news side, it seems that every day is - even more so than in broadcast radio - a different job. Stories change, update and break constantly, of course, and you gotta stay on top of 'em. I sometimes feel like the guy who used to juggle plates on sticks on Ed Sullivan's old show.

Best of all, this is a fabulous, solid, family owned company that's been around for thirty years. Quite a change from Big Corporate Radio.

egg / gm (now that Mark Wasburn has outed me.)

Good for you, Greg! Go down to Beale and eat some ribs for me!!
