Dan Yorke timed a couple of days off right at Citadel's radiothon. Yes.... it's a lovely gesture and wonderful service they do for Hasbro, but who can actually listen to it? I would love to see the PPM on this two days. It is proven that listeners tune out in droves with just a two minute interview with almost anybody, including celebrities. I can only imagine what two days of it does to their daily ratings. I'm sure the PD's bite their lips very hard while supporting a very worthy cause.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Why is Dan not there?
 
I notice Hot isn't part of it this year but they've been in the past. I guess they decided to be realistic about what their audience expects of them.

FUN 107 is though and as far I know they wer'nt in the past.

Correct, this was Fun's 1st year doing it. I doubt it'll be the last. It may not get wonderful ratings, but I think that's put aside for acouple days in favor of the wonderful results they see through the radiothon.
 
It is 2 days a year that help them meet their FCC requirement for public service. If you don't want to listen to it, there is something called a tuning button on your radio that you can use. For the rest of society that does care, it is enlightening to hear all of the good work being done over on Eddy & Dudley.
 
I switched to 920 those two days. I appreciate what WPRO and others do for the Childrens Hospital, but I have no interest in listening to it. Maybe Dan felt the same way.
 
Well I for 1 listed to it on both days. Its for a good cause and usually I listen to 92 during. They break it up with music. I can only imagine the heartless tuning out or not participating (DAN)!!
 
I am so happy we were a part of the Radiothon. The facility itself is amazing and the staff is exceptional. They work with not only the patients, but with their entire families. There are so many activities for the children and the pet therapy was an amazing program to witness. I enjoyed talking with the children and their parents. It was a great day and thank you to everyone that donated!
