The End Is Near For "Happy Endings"...

One of Happy Endings' executive producers used to run ABC during the mid '90s: Jamie Tarses!!!

During her tenure, she cozied up to then-"Friends" star Matthew Perry; their relationship burned up the tabloids.

Friday is not the death sloth. Tim Allen's sitcom is doing okay at 8PM. Reba's new show Malibu Country is doing pretty well at 830. Both are alos on The Alphabet Network. Over at CBS Undercover Boss does well at 8PM on Fridays.

Still, the move doesn't look all that great for the show. It's been moved around from Wednesdays to Tuesdays to Sundays and now to Fridays. ABC keeps saying they love Happy Endings, but moving the show around, especially this season alone, does not show support. The network should've just let the show stay on Wednesdays after Modern Family.

I know a lot of people love the cast and episodes, but I personally don't care too much for the show. I lost interest when they had Michael McKean, Ed Begley Jr. and Karen from Will and Grace in the same episode last season. Not my cup of tea. :(

Friday night may no longer be The Death Slot. We are into Year 5 of an economic downturn.
Fridays are no doubt much more of a "stay at home" night than they were previously (they are
around our house at least).

My Friday night fave is Shark Tank which is on at 9pm. It was on at 8pm in previous seasons (currently season 4 I believe). The time switch is good for me because I used to get home from work too late to catch it.

They didn't do the show any favor on Tuesday, competing against 2 other comedy's.

My Friday-night-at-2100 favourite is "Twin Peaks" on everybody's favourite public-access channel Video 1.

If the show aired on four different nights on the schedule as CleveFan points out above, that doesn't help, either. Looks like ABC's got their own version of "Til Death" on their hands...

When I'm home on Friday nights, my "favorites" are all the shows I've DVRed on Sunday thru Thursday and haven't had time to watch yet. I have no idea what shows the networks even run on Friday prime time anymore.
