The end is neigh for Disney and Starz

The contract for Disney/Pixar/Marvel movies on the various Starz and Encore channels ends on August 31, 2016. After that, it all goes to Netflix. Much of the older pre-2000 Disney library will go there as well. Starz will most likely double up on its original programming. Perhaps aquire more series and movies from across the pond. But they knew this day was coming.

Hmmm...at one point some companies were looking at buying Starz and the main attraction was the deal with Disney/Pixar. With that gone, it's not as attractive. Meanwhile with Netflix, the rich get richer.
