The End of LARadio.com?

Elitist in-crowd? There's nothing "elitist" about Don Barrett nor his excellent website. Don has welcomed and published contributions from everyone connected with or interested in Southern California radio. From the market superstars to overnight board ops to opinionated listeners who've never worked in radio. It's been a wonderfully inclusive site and a daily must-read for thousands of us.

probably no more than 100,000 people would read it even if it were free. That's too small a base to generate hit or click-driven revenue.

According to Quantcast, the monthly average is around 18,000 uniques. That's pretty low.

Comparatively speaking, dcrtv.com, a similar site for Washington DC, gets about 10,000.

"Why pay when you have free news now available?"

To get "real" radio news, not scurrilous false rumor and conjecture unproven and often untrue? Opinion is fine, but it means nothing if "fake" news driven. That's the price of "free."
