The end of Mac y Gaydos? Si se puede!!

I listened to Mac y Gaydos (aka- Mac N Cheese, Dumber and Dumberer, etc.) a few times this week and heard them 'joking' about finding new jobs. I wonder if they see the handwriting on the wall??? It has been almost one year since the die-namic duo killed the Phoenix airwaves with sophomoric and inane chatter.

Will Mac move to 98.7 The Peak and work as a music jock?
Will Gaydos move to Sports Parking Lot 620 and do sports talk?

Does the Master Blogger keep either Mac or Gaydos for a later time slot where the appropriate audience might be listening? 12a-3a, 12a-3a, 12a-3a???

Or, are the die-namic duo destined for the dustbin of history?

I heard they were number one in the ratings? Even if they aren't as long as Hayworth is on 550 I can't imagine KTAR feeling any pressure to change.

You know, that's not a bad concept at all. I know the economy is in the toilet
and most stations aren't going to be willing to fund it, but why not a live, local
overnight talk show? 1-5, 1-5, 1-5 during DST and 2-5, 2-5, 2-5 during the
four months of standard time (depending on how they "play" Hendrie during the
winter). Even in a rebounded economy, the talkmeister would likely have to
work "cheap" but still...

This (again, economy permitting) is something I wish KFI in El Lay would do--
after the live C2CUFO show ends at 2, put on a local talk show 2-5 AM PT
instead of re-running C2C. There must be thousands of third-shift workers
in SoCal, then there's that monster KFI signal too. But keep it as an El Lay,
or at least a Southland-oriented, talk show.

My toaster gets better ratings than JD Hayworth. Anyone opposite JD Hayworth is going to get good numbers.

Personally, I don't think Mac y Gaydos is as successful as another show in the same time slot would be.
