The end of Parking Lot 8~60

Best line...."you wrecked my fence" ;D Those calls (KMVP) gotta be worth something...wonder why TMISU haven't sold them by now?

No explanation of why the towers were knocked down, what replaces them, is the station off the air, has the transmitter moved, is the 860 signal deleted?

And why did you call the post Parking Lot 8~60?

6~20 is Parking Lot, but not 8~60. Unless they paved paradise to put in a parking lot.

Actually they paved an old landfill to put up KMVP's new sticks. Not exactly the Paradise, let alone the Big Yellow Taxi, as envisioned by Joni Mitchell. Landfill 8~Sixty is the correct name for this oddball station with 60 more watts at night than during the day!

The end of "Parking Lot 8~60" and the beginning of "Landfill 8~Sixty" ;)

(I found this link by accident looking for the Boise State "We need a Kicker" video. Go figure.)

Maybe they're holding onto them for 98.7 should they blow up The Peak and move sports there.

Guess so. Don't know why they're waiting so long to pull the trigger. There's a hole about a mile wide in the market for an FM Sports Talker and right now 98~Seven is the most qualified to fill it.

A sports talker for Phoenix? To talk about what? Surely not the Cardinals. Not the Sun Devils any longer. The Suns? Get real! No more NASCAR at PIR for awhile. The Coyotes? Unfortunately, not enough people to care.

YIKES!...time to conduct an emergency course on FM Sportstalk at the Buckeye Media Hut. You don't need play by play to score big numbers in prime demos when talking sports on FM. But in the case of 98~Seven, they have access to all the resources of Sports Parkinglot 6~Twenty and 92~Three. Move the KMVP calls off that dump known as 8~Sixty and use 'em for both 98~Seven and 6~Twenty. They'll get great numbers and more revenue than what The Peak generates. Sign up sheet for the course is in the lobby under the picture of Nurse Jeff.

Uh, no no no, Good Doc. Try 93.3... 95.5...

Yep. KDUS-FM 93.3 (it already is on HD2, for those 7 or 8 listeners with HD radios), KGME-FM 95.5, and KMVP-FM 98.7. All 3 will eventually have to move or die.
