"The End" To 98.7 Instead??

I'd be happy if The End moved to 98.7 (replacing AC) and left Pop FM alone, 'cuz Pop FM is the lone hot AC in Salt Lake City (for now). Salt Lake's got 3 AC stations, and 2 AC stations are enough for every city. But if Pop FM left the air, who'll take the hot AC torch? Power 107.9? Stay tuned!

My 99.5 is more of a AAA station. And The Mix came on earlier this year to put Star outta business.
Edited by PassDutch on 09/10/05 02:35 AM.

Um, no. 107.9 has been the same station since long before My 99.5 came on. The name was what changed. The two aren't really that similar anyway.

Could The End move to 98.7 instead? My 99.5 ain't hot AC.

They could, but Bee is still doing noticeably better than Pop.

My 99-5 is "hot AC" without DJ's - really. It has more of a "gold" library than Star did - delving into the 80s modern rock to sound more like 107-5 the end (which is DEFINITELY moving to 101.9). It's a lot like ClearChannel's 103.1 KCDA in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene market.

"The Mix" somehow holds on as a CHR to MediaBase and R&R but it has about an 80 song playlist and it's all HOT AC baby. No Mariah Carey "We Belong Together" even.
