The "Energy" has come to Milwaukee...

Like I said on the Wisconsin board, this station could create a HUGE niche format if done correctly. Be more rhythmic than Radio Now, more dance leaning that Kiss, take away the default listeners who listen to V 100 cause they don't like traditional Top 40 after Hot 102 left, and create some of the magic that has been left as a void by Hot 102, they could do very well. This is exciting news!!!!!

Good point about Hot 102; Energy 106.9 is the closest Milwaukee has come to this great station since it flipped to New Rock 102.1 in 1994. The signal may limit its performance however.

It sounds like they're carving their own niche. In the past few days since the debut, they put Swedish House Mafia and Tiesto into heavy rotation. If this keeps up, we could see another station carrying on the "Energy" tradition.

It looks like they picked up new call letters, too....WNRG-FM!

Can't wait to see the reaction from "the other station" down in Florida.

The station in Palm Bay (FL) is WNRG-LP FM.
