yep, weve seen this time and again on seattle FM. more broken radio hearts. heres the deal, it looks like your beloved independently music programmed KMCQ, has been taken into a private room and told the facts of life, and the standard operating procedure to abide by, with the promise of increased ratings, for future sale. kinda like a winning maverick/populist political candidate, who becomes just another cookie cutter, political social climber party hack. yep, they are probably now musically controlled by a national centralized control consultant. do yourself, and your ears a favor. dump the seattle FM burger and fries radio jive, and switch to satellite radio. yep, they got several oldies stations, including the 70's, where you can listen to legendary top 40 radio man "magic matt" do his 70's style radio schtick every morning, and the AT 40 on sundays as well!. yep, it seems everytime them satellite programmers try and tighten up the music playlists to that generic burger and fries programming, the listeners squawk, and threaten to cancel. XM pulled that tightening up stunt on the 60's channel a few years ago, and caused an almost riot amongst its listenrs. we wont put up with that sh*t on XM/sirius.
heres a deal for poster, tooounce, buy yourself a satellite radio, and if you dont like it after a month, ill buy it off you for what you paid. hell, mine is almost ten years old anyway. yes, i stick to my words, and my e-mail is
[email protected]. other than a grade A seattle FM morning show i listen to for a few hours everyday on KJR, there aint nothin' but generic centralized control music programming. its your choice, burgers and fries on seattle FM, or steak and lobster on satellite.
will the ratings go up on KMCQ? nope, probably stay the same. but, the passion factor will drop big time.
