The extreme similarities between chr and hot ac.

These days and beginning last decade, chr and hot ac began sounding very similar. These days the only difference between the two are spin count and more gold on hot ac. Thoughts?
 
Hot AC plays more 90s gold and CHR also plays a lot more hip hop/rap than Hot AC does. Westover Ones Hot AC service seems to be mixing in some more rap and CHR music lately even though they used to not play rap music and didn’t play as much Top 40 music a long time ago.
 
The criteria of the trade publications and airplay sources is based on number and percentage of currents, frequency of current rotations and the amount of recurrents and gold and percentage of total plays.

It's not based on the style of the music. Just the age and rotations of the songs.
