I see that in Santa Fe, KLBU "Blu 102.9" is sinking like a rock. Guess the Chill format has grown cold, so to speak. Too bad, I enjoy listening to their webstream. But I'll admit it's a flavor of the month format that may have stayed around too long. Any rumors of an impending sale/flip?

Wow it looks like KRST is catching up on KBQI. KRST hasn't been the country leader in ABQ since at least 2001(whenever KBQI took off).

You have to wonder how much "eclectic" radio Santa Fe can really support. While it certainly appeals to the yuppies, trust-funders and "artists" who flock to the area, Santa Fe's population is still very much made up of the common folk who are into mainstream radio.

There are a couple of the Pecos-licensed stations listed for sale on various broker sites. Its just finding the buyer with the cash who wants to come to Santa Fe to do his or her own thing. And they're out there!

They're generic references. These are all educated guesses on my part (I could be wrong), but I'm almost certain one is 101.5....IIRC, one broker site mentioned 25kw and its the only one operating at 25kw.

Either one of the other two wouldn't surprise me. Keep in mind that the Las Vegas move in - 100.7 - is owned partially by Will/Bill Sims - who not long after putting 102.9 (now KLBU) on the air also put it up for sale and sold it to its present owners I think for a million dollars....
