The Fan cheap shots

While listening or attempting to listen to the Fan this morning, they took two cheap shots at various people and other stations.

The first was a shot at a football coach that does have a problem and is seeking treatment.

The second was basically making fun of the other sports stations because they did not get one of the playoff games.

Has The Fan resorted to low blows and cheap shots to gain listeners? If they have, that is a shame IMO.

Good grief. This is a competitive business. Can't they have a little fun?

Having the playoffs on your station might get people to listen during that time if they are not able to watch the game. It is not going to mean that people will then tune in during the week to listen to regular programming.

On another note, I swear this is an actual program on The Fan.

"Why are we called The Fan? Because the Ticket was already taken."

That is just stupid to me. Why remind people of your competition? If I hear that as a show is going to commercial, all that is going to do is remind me that there is another station I can switch over to.

I heard the promo last night and just laughed. It wasn't a cheap shot, just radio. We know why KRLD-FM has the NFL playoff games. That's pretty self explantory. If the Cowboys were in the playoffs, then they would not have at least one or two games.

I love it
