The Fan, minor programming changes

I noticed today that the Scott Van Pelt Show was broadcasted on AM 1460 while the Common Man and The Torg were on FM. I don't know if this started today, or when it started. I guess they are using the Clear Channel Cincinnati sports model. Let 97.1 carry the big and local stuff, 1460 gets the rest. Cincinnati 1530 local and Fox Sports, 1360 exclusively ESPN Radio Straight Up.

Everyone knows I hate the Sports format on 97.1, but I flipped past it the other day and the audio quality is EVEN WORSE now than it was when they were playing music! In fact the quality was so bad that I almost thought I was listening to an AM station. The Wolfe family should be ashamed of themselves for this poor audio quality.

Last I checked my hearing was just fine. I'm not talking about HD-1 but the regular ol' analog 97.1. I tuned in last week about ten minutes til 11 AM and they sounded almost mono. Then again 97.1 has always been known for that horrible flat sound.

I agree that 97.1 has that horrible flat sound. Is the Program Director or the Chief Engineer calling the shots on audio processing at 97.1?
Why is the audio so poor at WBNS 97.1 FM? Back in the good old days, it was the Chief Engineer job to handle audio processing at most
all radio stations but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

It could be that the engineers there are still processing it like it's a beautful music station...
