How does a radio station with a fat payroll and two tv stations plugging it constantly NOT SHOW in the rating book? Someone summon the Cubs Fan to get his take. This has to be a first for a top 50 market FM station. Well done, gentlemen. Well done!

Hmm...the choice of station "talent"? Lack of an actual website that tells you who these guys are and where they are from? The fact that WRBZ has owned the market when it comes to sports talk for several years?

And the N&O reported yesterday that WCMC has signed a "six figure" deal to get exclusive Westwood One sports in the Raleigh/Durham market. Not just Sunday afternoon NFL, but the night games and the NCAA b-ball tournament, The Master, etc.

The Herald-Sun said yesterday that WDNC and WRBZ would begin carrying a high school football game of the week this fall on Friday nights.

I say just flip the station back to that classic rock format they stunted with for about a month. That format can kick some serious @ss in this market

The Westwood "six figure deal" is most likely barter!

As for HS football, GO! I always felt it was a great tool for introducing your station to potential listener. Must create high visibility at the games. Can also make some decent money. This will not be the first time for HS football on 850. Tony Haynes, Eddie Woodhouse, and I used to do a game of the week at WKIX in the 80s!

If you go to the Westwood One website, they also list RBZ and DNC as affiliates for the Sunday afternoon NFL doubleheaders.

WWI (and CBS) are notorious for not updating affiliate lists in a timely fashion, so you can't go by that. They also are famous for not know that towns like Creedmoor are in a market like Raleigh-Durham.
