The FCC wants your opinions on FM allocations

The FCC is presently accepting public comment on FM allocations issues. In particular they are interested in knowing if they should change their rules and policies about authorizing new FM stations. This might be a good opportunity to let the commission know your opinions about phony "first local services" to towns like Mayer, Dewey or Sun City West when the real intention is to cover Metro Phoenix. The lengthy details are found in the August 3 issue of the Federal Register. See http://a257.g.akamaitech.net/7/257/2422/01jan20051800/edocket.access.gpo.gov/2005/05-15427.htm
That also gives you instructions on how to file comments. But don't waste time as the deadline is Monday.

Or if you're a certain Mr. Tucker moving stations out of unserviced areas to cover Tucson.

The latest proposal is to move KZMK in Sierra Vista to Tanque Verde, AZ which is a dot on the map. You get there by taking Tanque Verde Road just beyond the Tucson City Limits.

Unfortunately, the comment period has closed, as you mentioned, on Docket 05-210. What I would like to know is how Davis-Monahan Air Force Base is a "city?"
No, an Air Force Base is NOT a city (and a PX is not a "retailer"), yet the FCC might rule this way, which is totally against Section 307(b) of the Communications Act. I want to see these guys go to D.C. Court for a remedy as the media attention from this will expose the real truth about these rural to urban move-ins.....that money trumps the public interest. This makes "broadcast localism" a sham, and it WILL be exposed.

See for yourself with these public documents: Here's the Report and Order,

And here's the appeal, or Petition of Reconsideration:
