My Dial Global affiliate has a substitute DJ on the local morning show. I don't know whether this means anything, but she's a woman. She confessed that she hasn't started Christmas shopping yet (yeah, that would have to be a woman; men think it's okay to start shopping on the 24th), and the next song she played was "Marshmallow World".
 
"It Must Have Been the Mistletoe".

The excuse the subsistute DJ gave was that it's only 77 days until Christmas.

No, that won't do it.

"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" by Bing Crosby played at 5:50 Eastern yesterday on my Dial Global station.

What a relief. It was a commercial. But it took a while for me to realize it was. It is rare on my affiliate that they take the commercial break 10 minutes before the news.
