The Flood

...All local Phoenix stations have presumably been wall to wall all morning. All five were on at 9:30 at an hour when normally just two are on the air with news.

This is already the wettest day on record in Phoenix. I'm sure the old-timers are thinking of 1980 today. I happen to be in the heaviest hit area (Chandler).
 
I'm sure there are several "did it flood where you are" thoughts but I never had a problem with it. It's been a crazy 24 hours.
 
This was justified due to the heavy, continuous overnight rains. The stations all did an exceptional job in a crisis situation. It helped me get to work safely this morning, knowing that I-17 NB was back open at 10:30am. To all of the news people who worked this morning, you did a great job covering the weather related issues!!
 
I think they did an awesome job covering the flooding. The roving reporters deserve huge kudos not only for their reporting but also because they were constantly moving to get a different slant on the event.
