The fox will be twenty years old this summer and my how they have changed

First off why is a rock station playing a hip hop song??? Macklamore/ryan lewis with thrift shop. Now i like the song dont get me wrong but it has no place on rock radio!!!

I wonder why they went from being a active rock station to louisvilles rock alternative???Anyone???

I miss them when they first went on the air and and they had the jock bucked naked at night and he did this bit with ashley chisolm. The meteorologist at whas 11 back then. He had this crush on her and it was very funny.

I like the format better but i dont like the fact they plug in premium choice for most of it. They still have detour which i love and the remix show scratch n sniff.

But i miss catfish aka mark starr.

I am surprised they never picked up the show full metal jacket.

Opinions...

I miss the signal at 100.5. They offered this area a REAL rock station. I am sick of WKQQ. They suck!!! Same old and I mean old rock songs over and over. WXZZ is ok but they also play some of the same old tired music that WKQQ does. I like 107.3 The Point but I cant hear it where I live. WCTT is boss here.

I miss 100.5 the original Fox but not as much as I miss WLRS 102.3 Pure Rock 'n Roll from 1988-1990.

Oh the greedy Fox has all the rock..... Cie'La'Vie....
::)

The Fox is un listenable to me now. Back in 1993, it brought new rock back to Louisville. QMF was terrible back then, and the area needed a good rock station. Pearl Jam and Nirvana on the same station that played Zep and Floyd was amazing back then. It also forced QMF to become a good rock station. By 95/96 both sounded great (QMF a little better IMO.) Then Clear Channel bought QMF and the rest is history. 107.3 the Point is a good station and QMF sounds pretty good as well.

Maybe I'm just no longer in the demo that the Fox wants and have moved over to the classic rock side. Still, I'd like to see QMF go a combo of new and classic since SFR seems to win the classic rock war ratings wise. New and classic on QMF, alternative on the Fox. Seems like it would be a winner for CC. All that said, I do miss the Fox of 1993. It was a great station when it started and did a lot for Louisville rock radio.

The fox has really started leaning heavier lately. Much heavier then wlrs ever was!!! I have been hearing five finger death punch and the like. I dont care for it i prefer indie rock and alt and pop.

But i guess there audience doesn't want to hear a bunch of mumford and sons and two door cinema club.

I, for one, am glad that they're leaning back toward mainstream/active rock. It was a difficult stretch for me to believe that the "Fox Rocks" when they play "Thriftshop" by Macklemore. (though I like the song, I prefer to hear it on Now)
