The Fugitive 1963-1967 Series

I have Time Warner cable TV yet none of the 1000+ channels offers reruns of the old ABC series "The Fugitive" starring David Janssen and Barry Morse.

Does anyone know if this show is in syndication and run on other cable companies or satellite networks? I know that the programs are being sold on DVD's.

The Weigel broadcasting-owned channel of WWME-CA (Me TV) in Chicago does air The Fugitive, Sunday nights at 11 pm. So, it is out there.

WOKR-13 ran The Fugitive in the 1980's late night after Nightline for a year or so. I know because I was the guy in master control running it. I think I have seen it on cable since then. Maybe on A&E.
The show never did that well in syndication. Might be because the first three years were in black & white or it is just dated. I know I never found it to be very interesting after it left its original run on ABC.

I thought that I just answered this question. Yes, it's in syndication. If WWME is showing it, then yes it is available.

The sad fact is that shows like the Fugitive don't tend to draw much in the way of revenue and few stations or cable channels pick them up for that reason. It just happens that WWME has found a nice little niche by providing classic programming to a large market. But that takes a commitment by the ownership that most stations do not have.
