The Future of KLLI

So, everyone has left the building on Carpenter... Except KLLI and Gavin (altoough he has another office on Fitzugh). Why would CBS choose to move JACK FM, sales, promotions etc all to Fitzugh and leave KLLI all alone in that building?
 
I've been saying it for awhile, they're burning out contracts,flipping the format to a closet-based one like JACK (indie 105.3), then selling the building.
 
All of KLLI except programming is moving to Fitzhugh. It's probably some technical reason that they have to stay. Several employees split time between the two buildings. The drive between them is so much fun, especially during rush hour, that they don't mind. ;)
 
It doesn't look too promising when your company relocates and leaves you behind. :D

Do you think Live 105.3 will be around this time next year? ???

That would be ironic since he kicked out the "hayseeds" the morning they flipped 105.3 to the talk format.

Guess he could kick them back in. :eek:
 
The landlord at Fitzhugh had previously refused to allow CBS to bring Russ into the building citing his history explosives and pranks of that nature. It is likely they have not reversed their position. And CBS is selling the Carpenter building. If you cant sell the ads, liquidate the assests.
 
Wouldn't make sense to hire B&S if they were waiting out contracts.... They just put up a new ballon with Best Station on it they ain't going nowhere, but they aren't getting any better either.... B&S still suck, and Russ is a punk who hits women.
 
They had to clear out that building to make room for all of the ENORMOUS egos there!!
 
Come on how hard was it to move JACK FM? All they did was carry the ipod to the new location. FYI I like Jack FM. Its like a sinking ship the rats are bailing KLII is sinking fast.
 
Russ ia not he "Pacman Jones of radio" He is the "vast Wasteland"that former FCC Chairman Newton Minnow talked about in 1962. I didnt know he was so clairvoyant.
Poor Russ his401 K is sinking, his career is almost in dry dock,his paychecks will be going away, his hair will turn grayer and fall out like fragments from a dust mop.
Sounds Like a Truman Capote novel.

I don't always breathe out of my mouth  ;D ;D :D :D I also don't hang on to every word he says, but I do listen often.
 
You may not outlaw..but a big majority of his listeners do, im going to guess a 95/5% split on mouthbreaters to nasal
