The Gigantic Fireball up in the Midwest

Unfortunately, I haven't seen anyone report any DX that could be remotely associated with this meteor. It would have been interesting to hear...

I had a tuner monitoring a clear frequency (103.9), and did not show anything out of the ordinary on my recordings at the time of the meteor. My location in Tennessee was likely too distant from the meteor trail to catch anything reflected by it.

I was actually dxing that night but, alas, turned in about an hour too early to see if there was any meteor scatter. However, about 2 weeks ago, I was listening to WRIT-FM from Milwaukee (a weak fringe signal where I live) on a Sunday afternoon when suddenly another station came up very strongly with an adult contemporary song, hung in for about 5 seconds then disappeared forever.

THAT was clearly meteor scatter. However, it was daylight so I doubt anyone ever noticed the meteor except yours truly..... :D

I was on he way to work, and saw what must have been a small offshoot of the big meteor.
Just a short streak, not the "all the way across the sky" thing I saw in a video.
I was on AM, and switched over to FM, but heard nothing out of the ordinary, just Chicago stations.

I heard Art Bell talking about UFOs and lights Saturday night. I thought they were talking about this recent rash of sightings, but then some man called in and told his story. "I was outside, and my wife was inside watching Jenny Jones." So it must have been from a call 15 years ago?
