The Gump Has Yo!

This is a new Classic Urban and Hip-Hop station, that's coming to the airwaves.

This station is now broadcasting online but will soon be heard on one of the WQKS HD channels (3) and on a repeater at 107.1 FM, starting next month.

For more details on this new banger check out: http://www.yo1071.com/

From what I've heard so far, this new station is playing music from the late 70s to the early 2000s.

OMG!!!! This is what Urban radio needs! From listening online I wish ATL had a station like this. At first I thought it was Citadel's Classic Hip-Hop format, but it's not. The music variety is off da chainz and I've heard everything from up north, west coast, dirty south and a lil' ol school funk. When they go on air it'll only be 38 watts so I'd assume they won't hurt sister station 97.9 JAMZ/WJWZ.

It sounds like the bulk of the songs are from the late 80s.....if they could shift that to the early to mid 90s (about 1991-1995) it would be perfect IMO
